Why this policy exists
Medical spa content sits in YMYL territory — "your money or your life" — because treatment decisions affect your health and your wallet. We hold ourselves to a higher standard than typical lifestyle publishing, and this page explains what that standard is.
About this site's history
This website was revived from its archived version. When we restored it, we did not simply republish the old pages: the content has been rewritten and updated from the ground up to reflect current practice, plainer language, and our present editorial standards. Older material was treated as a topic map, not as copy to reuse.
How content is produced
Each article begins with a question real patients ask — what a treatment involves, who it suits, what recovery looks like, what it realistically costs in time and comfort. Drafts are written in plain English, favoring honesty over salesmanship: if a treatment has downtime, discomfort, or limits, the article says so.
Before publication, every piece is reviewed for medical accuracy, clarity, and tone. Claims about how treatments work, how long results last, and what risks exist are checked against reputable sources. Articles are revisited periodically and updated when guidance or common practice changes.
Our sources
We rely on primary and authoritative sources wherever possible:
- FDA approvals, labeling, and safety communications.
- Peer-reviewed dermatology and aesthetic medicine literature.
- Guidance from professional bodies such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
- Manufacturer prescribing information for prescription products.
We do not publish content drawn solely from marketing materials, and we do not make claims we cannot trace back to a credible source.
What our content is — and is not
Everything we publish is educational. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for an in-person consultation with a licensed provider. Our medical disclaimer states this in full, and a reminder appears at the foot of every article.
Corrections
If you spot an error — a factual mistake, an outdated claim, a broken link — we want to know. Reach us through the contact page or email info@houstoninjectionsmedspa.com. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly, and material corrections are reflected in the article's updated date.
